WordPress 2.5 delayed
Well it seems WordPress 2.5 has been delayed again, it’s initial release was for March 10, then pushed back until March 17, then March 21. So far according to the WordPress trac it’s a day old so far. There is still currently 256 active tickets, which I hope will get fixed up soon.
It’s good that they are holding off until it is bug free, it will probably be one of the best releases to date. I’ve looked at the sneek peeks of WordPress 2.5, and it looks great. I haven’t personally tried it, prefer to wait for a final incase it causes havoc with Windows Live Writer
My birthday weekend
My party was on the 15th March, which was great. I had an RDO on Sat/Sun/Mon which worked out quite well. I created some invitations for the party, and sent them to some friends from work. On the Friday, Rachelle and I went to Jupiters Casino for dinner, which was lovely. The food is always nice there. Then on the Saturday Rachelle and I went shopping on the Saturday to buy some meat and grog for the BBQ. We bought a 700ml bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label, Smirnoff Vodka and Jim Beam White Label.
The party was meant to start at 7:30pm, but a few people had to do a few things first, so we picked Josh up and then Rachelle and Josh went to pick Dale and Mara up. Sabina turned up while I was waiting for the rest of the people to turn up, then Kirsten and Amanda turned up. We started drinking and a short while later Brian and Brad turned up, so we drank awhile more, then Brad, being the chef, cooked up the BBQ for us.

WordPress 2.5
Well, it seems WordPress 2.5 will be released on my birthday (thats right, today), but it will be late tonight as it’s not 17th March in the states just yet. It seems quite strange, I haven’t seen any Beta or RC releases of WP 2.5, I just hope all of the plugins are compatible with this new release.
Justyn for Mayor
The people of Townsville had to vote today, for a new Mayor, which was a waste of time in my opinion. So, we did the whole drive to the school to vote and all, but as usual, I never vote, but I thought of a better idea. Why not vote for myself for Mayor of Townsville, so thats what I did.

The Water Park
We went to The Water Park today, it was quite fun. The kids enjoyed in immensely. We arrived at around 9:40am, and the kids kept asking “when will the water be turned on”, we kept saying “at 10am”, but they kept asking impatiently
After playing around, we decided to go get the kids McDonalds for lunch, and they were so busy we had to pull into one of the waiting bays. Now, there is a sign in front of the park saying “For drive through only, no parking”. The car next to us was a Police car, and yes, they were parked there. Isn’t that a bit contradicting, since they should obey the law.
Rachelle asked the McDonalds lady if they are allowed to park there, and her reply was “No, but they do it anyway”. I bet if a citizen parked there they would get a parking ticket. Well, that’s all for now, stay tuned.
