The Meaning Of Life (Joke)
The following joke was floating around work last week, and thought I might share it with you as it is quite amusing.
On the first day, God created the dog and said: "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of 20 years."
The dog said: "That’s a long time to be barking. How about only 10 years and I’ll give you back the other 10?"
So God agreed.
On the second day, God created the monkey and said: "Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I’ll give you a 20-year life span."
The monkey said: "Monkey tricks for 20 years? That’s a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back 10 like the Dog did?"
And God agreed.

Dinner and a BBQ
Last night I cooked a nice Indian Butter Chicken and rice for dinner. Chell and I both loved it. It was delicious and Chell even said it tasted just like Masala.
Then we got the kids back today so we went to The Strand and I cooked a BBQ lunch which was yum. The kids had fun playing at the waterpark whilst I was cooking lunch.
For dinner tonight I’m going to cook some burrito’s, which is always good fun. Chell and the kids love burrito’s and it’s a quick and easy meal.
That is all.
Firefox 3, excessive HDD usage
I’ve noticed for the past couple days, there seems to be a constant read/write with my HDD when I open up Firefox. After trying to find out what it was, I decided to do a Google search for it, which brought me to a post on gHacks.
There is a fix for Linux where you set the Urlclassifier.updatecachemax from -1 to 104857600. When it’s set to -1 it means the cache is unlimited, now set to 104857600 it means it’s limited to 100 Megabytes.
To set it, open a new tab in Firefox and in the address bar type in about:config then in the search bar at the top, type in Urlclassifier.updatecachemax. When you see the result, double-click on it and change it from -1 to 104857600.
I hope this helps. I will monitor my HDD usage over the next couple days and see if it fixes it.
Update: Well, it seems setting the Urlclassifier.updatecachemax helps a little. I can still hear/see the HDD reading/writing from cache, but only lasts about 40-60 seconds, instead of a couple minutes.

Akismet; Spam comments
Well, I was going through my comments that Akismet happened to catch. I am suprised at the amount of garbage that would get through if it wasn’t for Akismet.
Just going through the comments, there is things in there that are quite strange, like:
Thankfully modern penis enlargement techniques offer REAL results and empower men to add between 1-3 inches in length as well as increased girth to their penis – GUARANTEED.
Okay, so if there isn’t enough spam emails going around for penis enlargements, now bots have to attack comment fields too.
Brutal and truly shocking rape fantasies site, once you check it out 6 tgp forced Check out these awesome forced sex video will blow your mind pic transformation breeding dog forced
Now this one is quite strange. I can’t believe people actually look at that kind of stuff, like breeding dog forced and everything. Whatever tickles your fancy I guess, but I’m sure you should put yourself into a mental institution.
Now I am wondering, how many of you people actually find these bizarre comments on your blog(s) that have been blocked?
