Easter at Paluma

By | March 28, 2016

Our friends Chloe & Rohan invited us up to Paluma for Easter Sunday for a family day. Since I had the day off we decided to go up. Paluma is about 91km North of Townsville, and up the Paluma Range. So we headed off about 9am and stopped at Yabulu for some petrol, ice and a couple of drinks.

We waited at the Paluma turn off for Chloe, Rohan and their parents then headed up the ranges. After the winding drive up the ranges, we unloaded all the cars and found a nice spot at McClelland’s Lookout under the shade with picnic tables to setup.

There was an Easter egg hunt setup for the kids and they absolutely loved it! We also played soccer, and cricket which was good. We don’t usually spend too much time playing however today was one of those days where it was just all-round fun and enjoyable.

Cayden and the girls ran off with the DSLR and got some random photos of everything, and the adults sat around and had a chat and enjoyed the nice cool rain forest air. It is such a nice place to visit and the air smells clean and fresh. There is rain forest to walk through, creeks to swim in and views to be seen.

After a long day of playing, eating, and hunting it was time to pack and drive back home. Kids tired and sleeping in the car, quiet. It was an awesome day and we got to spend it with great friends / family and have a great time!
