Over 20,000 email accounts compromised by phishing attack
If you have a Hotmail account (this includes @hotmail.com, @msn.com and @live.com accounts) or Gmail, Comcast or Earthlink I suggest you change your password now.
On October 1st an internet user posted the passwords to over 20,000 accounts on pastebin, a site known to be used by developers to share code. Some people over at Neowin reported that they saw some of the list and said that most of the accounts seem to be from Europe.
So I suggest that if you have a Hotmail, Gmail, Comcast or Earthlink account to login and change your password details just to be safe.
iPhone OS 3.0 Vibration Fix
I was browsing through the ModMyi forums and found a SMS Vibration 3.0 Fix by a user by the name of WaLLy3K.

Enable Tethering and disable Group MMS on Optus iPhone
As most of you know that are using iPhone OS 3.0 when you sent a text to multiple recipients it sends it as an MMS. This can be quite frustrating for the recipients as they may not use MMS.
What I have done is created an Optus carrier update (based of the one from Apple dated 20090612) which you can download which disables the group MMS option and also enables tethering using “yesinternet” as the APN and adds the “yes optus” carrier logo instead of just saying “optus”. Just a warning that you may be charged for tethering, I can’t guarantee you wont be.

iPhone OS 3.0
Well last night I decided to bite the bullet and download iPhone OS 3.0 from The Pirate Bay. Technically what I did was piracy I guess as it’s the Gold Master sent to developers and not the one that is released to the general public.

Australian Classification Board hacked
The Australian Classification Board website seems to have been hacked this evening. It is still unknown who the group is that has done this.
The website now says:
