We got the kids back last Saturday, so decided to go on a road trip up to Paluma. Paluma is about an hour and a half drive from Townsville. It was quite cool in Paluma, since it’s surrounded by rainforest and mountains.
Chell got a bit excited about the temperature so took a photo of it saying 14c, which you don’t often get here in Townsville. We stopped at a park and had some lunch, and the kids all played on the equipment. It was cute as Emily and Tiana would take it in turns pushing each other on the swing.
After lunch went then went up the mountain and took some photo’s of the kids and all the scenery. We went for a walk through the rainforest and took a few more photos.
After the long day, we drove home and the kids, even Chell fell asleep in the car, it was a quiet trip home
. I will put some photo’s up in the gallery later sometime.
The people of Townsville had to vote today, for a new Mayor, which was a waste of time in my opinion. So, we did the whole drive to the school to vote and all, but as usual, I never vote, but I thought of a better idea. Why not vote for myself for Mayor of Townsville, so thats what I did, here is a picture of my voting slip just for your amusement.

Josh’s car broke down yesterday about 70km’s South of Sarina, and got it towed to Sarina which is about 35km’s South of Mackay. We got a phonecall asking if we can go pick him up, so being the kind people we are we set off on a long trip. Mind you, I did all this driving on 3 hours sleep.
We had showers, and left Townsville about 10:30am, we stopped off at a petrol garage at Ayr to fill the car up, then we kept going. The next stop was a pertrol garage between Proserpine and Mackay, got something to eat, and bought The Picture magazine.
Update: Photo’s are added into the gallery, you can view them here.
