A very productive day

Yesterday I ended up having Cayden home from Daycare whilst Chell went to work. As most people know we’ve been going through a bit of a rough stage in which Chell wrote about. Now what I did today I believe lifted not only her spirits, but mine as well.

I ended up cleaning up the house, just general house work (vacuuming, mopping, dishes, clothes washing) e.t.c. to make the place nice and tidy. Then headed to the shops to buy some pots, soil and rocks to put some desert roses in that her Mum gave her.

Cayden helped pot them into the new pots and made them look all nice with the rocks, and I sent this photo to Chell and she loved it. They look good out the front of our house. Hopefully these ones don’t get stolen!

Then after Cayden had a bit of a rest, it was off to the shops to buy ingredients for dinner. I decided on Prawn Linguine. So we went and bought everything we needed (and a Kinder Surprise for Cayden), before we left though, I decided to buy a bunch of flowers too.

I chose Sun Flowers because I like the way they follow the Sun, are big, bright, and just seem to make you feel happier; brighten up the home.

So Chell got home from work, and loved how clean the house was, the desert roses, and the flowers however it wasn’t over yet! I started to cook dinner too, and even cleaned up and packed the dishwasher!

The dinner was delicious. Chell and Cayden loved it and when Matt got home from football I told him we ordered pasta and he believed it! That is how amazing it tasted. :-) Then, after that I topped it off with some Hokey Pokey ice cream. Job. Well. Done.
