WordPress 2.8 Release Candidate 1

Well WordPress 2.8 Release Candidate 1 was released yesterday for download.
There was more tickets opened and also closed in this version than any other version of WordPress to date which you can read about in the wp-hackers Google Group.
If all goes to plan, WordPress 2.8 should be released on the 10th which is only two days away. To see the list of changes you can checkout the changelog or read a review of WordPress 2.8.

It would probably be best reading the upgrade instructions over at the WordPress Codex page.
I want to get a wordpress but i’m afraid that it would be too easy for people to hack into. Should I be worried about people messing around with my site as long as I don’t post to personal of information?
As long as you keep your WordPress installation up-to-date and not post passwords you should be fine.
